Keyboard Shortcuts

 COMMONLY USED KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS FOR WINDOWS

1. General Shortcuts:

   - Ctrl + C: Copy

   - Ctrl + X: Cut

   - Ctrl + V: Paste

   - Ctrl + Z: Undo

   - Ctrl + Y: Redo

   - Ctrl + A: Select All

   - Ctrl + F: Find

   - Ctrl + S: Save

   - Ctrl + P: Print

   - Ctrl + N: New (File or Window)

   - Ctrl + O: Open

   - Ctrl + W: Close current window/tab

   - Ctrl + F4: Close current application window

   - Alt + F4: Close current application

   - Ctrl + Esc: Open Start Menu

   - Ctrl + Shift + Esc: Open Task Manager

   - Ctrl + Alt + Delete: Open options to lock, switch user, sign out, or access Task Manager

 

2. Navigation and Windows Management:

   - Alt + Tab: Switch between open applications

   - Windows Key + D: Show Desktop (minimize all windows)

   - Windows Key + E: Open File Explorer

   - Windows Key + L: Lock the computer

   - Windows Key + M: Minimize all windows

   - Windows Key + Shift + M: Restore minimized windows

   - Windows Key + Tab: Open Task View (Windows 10 and later)

   - Alt + F6: Switch between multiple windows of the same application

 

3. Taskbar Shortcuts:

   - Windows Key + [Number]: Open the corresponding application on the Taskbar (e.g., Windows Key + 1 opens the first application)

   - Windows Key + T: Cycle through applications on the Taskbar

 

4. Virtual Desktop Shortcuts (Windows 10 and later):

   - Windows Key + Ctrl + D: Create a new virtual desktop

   - Windows Key + Ctrl + Right/Left Arrow: Switch between virtual desktops

 

5. Screenshot Shortcuts (Windows 10 and later):

   - Print Screen (PrtScn): Capture a screenshot of the entire screen (saved to clipboard)

   - Windows Key + Print Screen: Capture a screenshot and save it in the "Screenshots" folder in Pictures

 

6. File Explorer Shortcuts:

   - Alt + D or Ctrl + L: Focus on the address bar

   - F2: Rename selected item

   - Ctrl + Shift + N: Create a new folder

 

7. Dialog Box Shortcuts:

   - Tab: Move through options

   - Shift + Tab: Move backward through options

   - Enter: Activate the selected option

   - Spacebar: Select or clear a checkbox option
